When asked what she enjoys most about working at Oak Bank, Myrna Concepcion answered providing assistance to bank customers, as well as the teamwork and communication with her coworkers. It is this value of community connections that makes Myrna an asset to our team.
Eleven years ago, Myrna joined Oak Bank as a teller. Since then, she has continued her support on the front-line, adding the responsibility of Assistant Vault Supervisor.
In addition to her connection to the community of people at Oak Bank, Myrna also feels a strong connection to our city. In fact, if she won the lottery, she would invest in a house on the lakefront, where she could overlook the beauty of Chicago and its tall buildings. One of her favorite parts of living in Chicago is the downtown scene and how aesthetic it is- one of the best in the country. Of course, this includes the Navy Pier, one of the top leisure destinations in the Midwest. There’s something there for the whole family, with dining, amenities, and of course, the huge Ferris Wheel.
When asked where she’d like to be treated to lunch, Myrna answered Tavern on Rush (specifically, their calamari). If she was able to eat with anyone in the world, she’d share a meal with famous boxer Manny Pacquiao, because of their shared Filipino heritage and her pride in both of their accomplishments.
As further evidence of the value Myrna places on connecting with others, when asked what her superpower would be, she answered “The power to stay young, so I can be with my family forever.”
We are lucky to have someone as focused on the clients and passionate about the community as Myrna on our team at Oak Bank, and we thank her for her service!
